Here are my kitchen seed starting shelves: ![]()
Ok, guess I should have turned off the "spotlight" before taking a picture!
This is a cupboard I have had in my kitchen for quite a few years. The microwave sits in the top and then I have 3 shelves that I put pots and pans in, and containers for recyclables in winter. I decided it would be a perfect place to start my seeds, and it seems to be working pretty well. Den installed lights in it for me, although it would have been better if they were adjustable, but thats ok. I don't use fancy seed starting flats, I am using recycled trays that meat comes in, or whatever I kept that came in handy. I actually had saved some egg cartons, but at Christmas time discovered those were perfect to hold our small Christmas bulbs. I am seriously thinking of taking the microwave out of the top shelf and then I will have more room for seeds. I still have an awful lot of seeds.
